This what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says, “If you are determined to go to Egypt and you do go to settle there, then the sword you fear will overtake you there, and the famine you dread will follow you into Egypt, and there you will die… by the sword, famine or plague; not one of them will survive or escape the disaster I will bring on them.” (Jeremiah 42:15b-16, 17b NIV)

As Syrian refugees enter Europe and America, some are arguing we need to welcome them as an act of compassion. This post will argue the opposite. It is disconcerting to see Syrian men of fighting age fleeing to the U.S. and Europe rather than mounting an effective resistance or, at least, remaining in proximity to their homeland. What kind of counterattack can be mobilized to regain lost ground if fighting men have been disbursed to England or Kentucky? It has created a resistance void in cities and towns throughout the region.

Humanitarian work is currently going on in camps in Jordan and elsewhere in the region. Had aid for food, blankets, tents, as well as medicine, been given from the same governments opening their borders, an international crisis would have been averted. Supplying transportation to the west for 100,000 Syrians since 2012, instead of emergency assistance to the refugees is unprecedented!

(Oh, and what about the credible reports that ISIS, The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, has been printing fake Syrian passports. Shouldn’t Syrian immigration be stopped until the matter of forged passports is resolved?)

Something other than humanitarianism is afoot. I suggest that a massive influx of Middle Easterners is an attempt to alter forever the political, social and religious landscape of two continents (i.e. Europe and North America) and, therefore, the world. Are we seeing the final stage of the global proliferation of Islam or a global caliphate?

What else explains why Muslims are readily admitted into the U.S., while Syrian or Iraqi Christians are denied. Though the Christian population in Syria is at ten percent only .004% who’ve entered are Christian. According to recent published reports, Syrian refugees numbered 2098 Muslims and 56 Christians.

Another concern ought to be higher on the priority list than humanitarianism, that is national security.  Already, the number of Muslim immigrants is so large and growing that federal agencies are unable to adequately track the activities of suspected or potential terrorists.

This blog has stated that God’s judgment on the West is imminent. In “Demolition” (December 6, 2013) I, John, described Western leaders as appointed by God as destroyers. As a demolition team, they have emerged to supervise the uprooting and tearing down of their respective nations. Observe their “progress” the last two years.

With respect to Syrian refugees, “Do NOT go West!” You will regret it. Keeping Iraqi and Syrian Christians from entering America may be God’s way of preserving their lives. For Western Christians seeking refuge abroad, I offer this: Rather than fleeing, better to remain and build local shelters or Christian communities. Begin constructing an ark of refuge for God’s people–only then will you save yourself.

Jeremiah, the prophet, warned fellow Jews living in Judea that, by escaping to Egypt, they would encounter the very thing they thought they were fleeing; namely, the sword of Babylon. This “prophet to the nations” (Jeremiah 1:5) is speaking God’s Word to saints world-wide. Prepare for disaster. Perform great acts of love, while the opportunity lasts, especially for the household of God (1 Peter 4:7-13). Then we will show ourselves worthy of our calling and true citizens of the Kingdom of God on earth.

The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body–whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free–and we were all given one Spirit to drink. (1 Corinthians 12:12-13 NIV)

Near the end of a recent conversation, my brother in Christ offhandedly commented, “You know, if people heard us talking this way, they’d think we were crazy.”

Our discussion had focused on what God wants his people to do while the world is descending into the abyss. At the end of our meeting, I was rewarded with this potential leader’s question, “What do you need me to do?”

I gathered my thoughts while taking in the import and sincerity of what he was asking. “Keep on doing what you’re doing,” I said. The Lord had created in him a momentum in Biblical insight, wisdom and right actions that was unmistakeably geared to the end times.

How do I know we are close to the imminent day of disaster? The news media gives plenty of reasons, yet the biggest I see has nothing to do with the secular world. I believe the end of the West as we have known it is near because the body is coming together. In the past months, I have seen several committed believers seeking a place of service during the time of the end. Hearts are being stirred to join others in the Kingdom and to take part in something big.

Two issues need to be uppermost in the mind of modern saints: First, we must cultivate corporate thinking. Our minds must be renewed to think as a body, for that is how God created us. No one should think more highly of themselves than they ought (Romans 12:3). Instead, think network. Be eager to associate with those of low position, for we are all the body.

…so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man’s gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. (Romans 12:5-6 NIV)

Having the mind to gather others into small communities for teaching, preparation for persecution and service, runs contrary to the prominent message of Christian individualism (“What can God do for me?”). My counsel to believers is to begin immediately to form natural fellowships for Scripture study. Also, use them for creating bonds of love and loyalty to Christ and each other.

This leads to the second matter, similar to the first: Uppermost in our mind, we must grow in love so we excel at it. Love nurtures a servant’s attitude and heart. Love will conquer and love will endure (1 Corinthians 13).

Put away all malice and prejudice, or else risk being removed for the sake of the body’s health. God’s people will not show favoritism. Love unites Jew and Gentile, slave and free, etc. This is more than unity within our churches. It should not be a surprise, but God’s plan is to reunite Israel, that certainly includes our Jewish brethren (Acts 1:6).

If we are the body, we will manifest many gifts while maintaining “oneness”. There is no doubt we will be part of a unified body of Christ at the end, or we will not be at all!

It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Then we will no longer be infants,… (Ephesians 4:11-14a NIV)

The recent debate at the Creation Museum, Petersburg, Kentucky (near Cincinnati, Ohio), was a doozy. It was popular American TV personality, Bill Nye, of the PBS “The Science Guy”, versus Ken Ham, CEO of Answers in Genesis (AIG)-U.S.  According to AIG’s March Newsletter, the debate was seen on-line by an estimated 12 million in 109 countries.

Basically, the issue was “Is Creationism and its view of origins a viable scientific option and should it be taught in schools as an alternative to evolution?” Bill Nye said “No,” while Ken Ham argued for Genesis as a scientific explanation for the beginning of life.

During the Q & A portion, Ken Ham asked Mr. Nye two questions. The questions were: “Where did the atoms come from that resulted in the Big Bang?” and, the other, “How did we get consciousness from matter?” The Science Guy’s response spoke volumes. “This is the great mystery.”

One might think the two questions would create a big bang of their own in the brains of the evolution-minded who heard it. But, the only noise coming from them has been the sound of digging in.

Ken Ham’s ministry is not just directed at educators and scientists with a secular bias; it is also for the Church. In our pulpits are teachers who have bought the lie in one or more of its various forms. Ham’s message offers a wake-up call against evolution’s deception.

The efforts of AIG and Ken Ham are heroic, but what is also needed is a ministry of “Answers in Revelation”. Exposed also to the lie is the Bible’s opposite book (i.e. prophecy). “Watch out that no one deceives you,” was Jesus’ first warning when he taught on the signs of the end of the age (Matthew 24:4).

At theprophetsofgod.com our vision is similar to that of AIG. Regarding the last days, we strive to be a voice that echoes Scripture. God willing, we’ll alert many Christians before it’s too late. jf

The Spanish-American, known popularly as George Santayana (1863 – 1952), was a philosopher, essayist, poet, and novelist. He is widely known for articulating The Law of Repetitive Consequences.  In essence, this law states: “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”

As a tribute to the 150th year of the Madrid-born Santayana, let’s examine briefly the Spanish fleet, the “Armada Invencible” (literally “Great and Most Fortunate Navy” or “Invincible Fleet”)  and look at its 525 year-old lessons.  The Spanish ruler, King Philip II, had a long-standing personal feud with his relative, by marriage, Queen Elizabeth I of England. It came to a head when Philip sent his 130 ship armada (“the invincible fleet”) with the intention of overthrowing the Protestant queen and permanently establishing Spain’s power in the Low Countries or the Spanish Netherlands.

However, in August of 1588, Spain’s plan of conquest was not going well. They were beat back in a series of harassment-type attacks by the English fleet and forced to return to Spain. On the way back God intervened in the affairs of men. The Armada sailed into a great storm at sea, off the western coast of the northern part of Ireland. God inflicted heavy losses on the Armada. The Great and Most Fortunate Navy would never recover. Fifty of Spain’s ships that set sail with glorious intent, never returned home.

The British House of Commons may be paying attention to history. They denied their prime minister, David Cameron, the support he requested to help launch a strike against Syria’s leadership. As U.S. ships steam toward the eastern Mediterranean Sea armed with military muscle and might, except for France’s war machine that has known two centuries of defeat, they are sailing without allies. As our commander-in-chief, President Barrack Obama, sits poised to push the attack button without congressional or popular support at home, his attitude evokes images of the 16th century Philip II of Spain.

Back in America, many are still outraged by Miley Cyrus’ MTV awards performance, the justice department’s refusal to contest recently passed marijuana laws in Colorado and Washington, same-sex unions making their way through state legislatures, etc.  Could it be that the history lesson offered by Pharaoh’s commanders in Exodus 14:25 will be repeated? It was in their effort to destroy the Israelites that things started going badly. Just before they all died, they declared, “The Lord is fighting for them [the Israelites] against Egypt.” Do not be surprised if we see our God intervening again.

Question 11- Do you ever wonder why you? Do you get tired of the difficulties?

Answer 11- I am beginning to move beyond the “Why me?” question. Now I am more into the acceptance phase. (Sounds like the five stages of grief, doesn’t it?) It is my burden to bear and I am embracing it. I realize the pioneers get the arrows. I have seen a bit of this already from Christian “friends” but my study of prophets prepares me to deal with the hostility. This is not about me. This is not about writing a best seller. This has always been about being faithful to what God has called me to do and being used to help many through the coming darkness. I do not look for any rewards on this side but I do hope to hear a well done on the other side. I appreciate and enjoyed this opportunity to share with you. Thank you.

Question 7- What is your next book?

Answer 7- I am working on The Priests of God. Again, I am going to present a Biblical view of the true priesthood and attempt to bring what we know in line with the last days. It will expose more myths and reveal more exciting insights the Lord has given. I try to make each book rock solid, treasure filled and better written than the last one.

Question 3: What are some of the fictions—myths as you call them—that you expose?

Answer 3: The one that comes to my mind first is that prophecy supports the notion that believers will be divinely delivered from an intense period of suffering, we call the Great Tribulation. It is a myth. Ask fellow believers in oppressive countries or areas of Africa, Asia and even South and Central America. I do not expose this as a myth—as you say–or other views that remove God’s people from the hot furnace of affliction, I let the words of Christ and his prophets do that. Another one that I call attention to is that not everyone who claims to be a Christian teacher or preacher—who is committed to the Bible and to following Jesus as Lord—is accurately portraying future events. (I am not questioning motives but motive is not the issue. Truth is.) What God intends to do this year and beyond is a matter of utmost importance. Most church-goers are getting it wrong from their leaders in the pulpit, on their TV and in their books of prophecy. To make matters worse, they are not encouraged to read and study the prophets for themselves. This is a major problem with severe consequences if it continues.

In Acts 7:9-10, we find this: “These men began to argue with Stephen, but they could not stand up against his wisdom or the Spirit by whom he spoke. Then they secretly persuaded some men to say, ‘We have heard Stephen speak words of blasphemy against Moses and against God.’ “

What did Stephen say that stirred the hatred of the opposition? Those who argued with him schemed to have him stoned to death using the false charge of blasphemy. It wasn’t simply what this Spirit-filled follower of Jesus said, but how he said it. He spoke the truth boldly. Stephen exposed the most powerful religious leaders of his day as wolves in sheep’s clothing.

A veteran newsman interviewed the U.S. president in 2012 asking questions the American leader did not like. Afterwards, the TV anchor was the subject of an audit by the tax collection agency of the U.S., the Internal Revenue Service. The same journalist was later fired from his job.

A reporter from a major cable news network covered a story that showed America’s president in a less than favorable light. Not long after, the reporter’s phones were wired with an eavesdropping device—as was his parents’ home phone. The wiretapping was ordered by the U.S. Dept. of Justice.

What did these men do to instill the wrath of the federal government? They both spoke the truth boldly. They are in the company of Whistle Blowers.

In reality, prophets are whistle blowers. They bring liars and hypocrites out of hiding. That’s what Jesus did. Christ blew the whistle on those who ran Jerusalem’s temple. Jesus as well as John the Baptist called them what they were, “a brood of vipers”.

There are poisonous snakes in our day, too. They may appear harmless but they spew venom. If anyone blows the whistle on them, they will hatch an evil plot to silence the blower or make them pay for being outspoken.

I’ve made up my mind; I’d rather be in the company of whistle blowers, than stand with those who revile them (Psalm 1:1). That’s why the book “Lifesaver”. That’s why this simple book will be loved by some, yet hated by those it exposes.

Question 1: You seem to be saying that The Prophets of God is unique; that it is a fresh, new approach to truth. Is that possible? How do you back up that claim?

Answer 1: The proof is in the reading. I cannot speak for everything in print or on the internet but, personally, I do not know of anything like this book. The conclusions, insights and arguments I put out there for the reader did not come out of a book nor did I hear them from anyone. The Prophets of God is a product of my study of God’s Word, input from and discussions with other Bible students, interaction with historical and contemporary events and—most of all, I think—insights God has given me. After a time, when I began to see some things differently, I looked around and thought, “You know, I have not heard this from a human.” So, God impressed it on me to write what I discovered.

The writers and staff at theprophetsofgod.com have been busy. We are working hard to publish accurate and insightful written material and media to better equip the saints for what’s ahead. Lifesaver: Rescuing God’s People from the PTR Ship was released in early April. Available soon in paperback will be the 2nd Edition of The Prophets of God. This readable study of Biblical prophets was originally published in 2011. This new edition has a revised format and an added feature that we think will help and challenge readers even more.

Why a Second Edition? Our main reason was to make The Prophets of God available at Kindle, Nook, ePub and iTunes bookstores. For those with electronic readers, we are pleased to announce that this Biblical call to “Recognize, Listen to and Follow” true prophets can soon be purchased at a bargain price. Paperback or electronic, it’s a great deal either way.

Those with a first edition copy need not be concerned; the content of The Prophets of God has not been altered. We made improvements, not changes. Changes are not possible when the commitment is to interpret the Word of God with integrity and absolute accuracy.

As you see by the previous post, this blog will have a “Discussion” on The Prophets of God in hopes that it will re-ignite interest in the soon-to-arrive anointed messengers of the Lord. Take the opportunity to purchase it, then share this valuable resource with others as hungry for truth as you are.
